Lindsey Stafford

Lindsey Stafford, MSPT is a licensed physical therapist who has been practicing since 2007. She graduated from Centenary College of Louisiana with a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science before achieving her Masters degree in physical therapy at Texas Woman's University in Dallas. Lindsey began her career at Methodist Dallas Medical Center as an acute care therapist, working with all types of patients including adult orthopedic, neurological, and general medical/surgical issues. She then moved to Houston in 2015 to practice at Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas medical Center, a level 1 trauma center. At Memorial Hermann, Lindsey has worked as an adult acute care therapist with a focus on neurological impairments including traumatic brain injuries, strokes, spinal cord injuries, demyelinating diseases, as well as autoimmune disorders. She works with patients intubated in the ICU through discharge from the hospital, working to prepare the patient and family for return home or maximizing strength to tolerate a rehabilitation facility. During her time working as an acute care therapist , Lindsey has been able to develop an expertise in improving patient overall functional mobility and patient/family education for safe return home. A major part of her practice setting also includes recommending and training on appropriate durable medical equipment to keep patients moving safely.
