Our approach is rooted not only in professional expertise but also in personal experience, having walked the path of Alzheimer’s care alongside a parent. We understand firsthand the emotional and logistical challenges families face. Our comprehensive model addresses both the physical environment and the cognitive and emotional needs of seniors and their loved ones. Meet The Team

Monique Manning

OTR, P.L.L.C. & Owner

I discovered my passion for occupational therapy in high school while running a swimming business inspired by my mother. My first client was a woman recovering from a traumatic brain injury who needed to re-learn how to swim. She shared how her occupational therapist had helped her reintegrate into daily life, sparking my interest in the field. This led me to pursue a degree in occupational therapy, graduating from Texas Woman’s University in 1999. I began my career at MD Anderson Cancer Center, working across various hospital units, from the ICU to rehabilitation. From there, I transitioned to Texas Children’s Hospital and later expanded my experience in home health care and outpatient settings. In 2006, I established my private practice, where I have continued to provide care ever since. When COVID hit, I noticed changes in my mother’s health, which led me to refresh my adult care skills. I briefly worked part-time for Rehab Without Walls until balancing my private practice and caregiving responsibilities became my primary focus. Over the past five years, I have served as my mother’s medical power of attorney, guiding her through a diagnosis of Primary Progressive Aphasia. This journey transformed my role from daughter to advocate, navigating the complexities of the healthcare system on her behalf. Through this experience, I realized the growing need for guidance in aging and disease management. The medical system is fast-paced, technology-driven, and increasingly impersonal. I found myself ensuring my mother remained an engaged consumer, making informed decisions about her quality of life. Now, I feel called to help others navigate this journey—empowering families to advocate for their loved ones and make confident, informed choices in the aging process.

Teya Miller

MA, CCC/SLP

Teya has provided speech, language and swallow services for the past 25 years. Her life has been seasoned with living in a variety of places and has worked as a SLP with each move. She started her career with an amazing learning opportunity in research at the Veteran’s Affairs/Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville Tennessee. A move to Chicago gave her valuable experience within the Evanston Northwestern Hospital system. Making her way back to the great state of Texas, she spent the majority of her career in several hospitals in the Texas Medical Center, focusing on neurogenic communication disorders and dysphagia. In addition to working adults, Teya sought out the pediatric population to expand work experience. She has enjoyed being a part of Memorial Speech and Occupational. She is grateful to work directly with people and loves being a Speech Pathologist. Teya is licensed in the State of Texas and holds certification from the American Speech and Hearing Association.

Lindsey Stafford

MSPT

Lindsey Stafford, MSPT is a licensed physical therapist who has been practicing since 2007. She graduated from Centenary College of Louisiana with a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science before achieving her Masters degree in physical therapy at Texas Woman's University in Dallas. Lindsey began her career at Methodist Dallas Medical Center as an acute care therapist, working with all types of patients including adult orthopedic, neurological, and general medical/surgical issues. She then moved to Houston in 2015 to practice at Memorial Hermann Hospital in the Texas medical Center, a level 1 trauma center. At Memorial Hermann, Lindsey has worked as an adult acute care therapist with a focus on neurological impairments including traumatic brain injuries, strokes, spinal cord injuries, demyelinating diseases, as well as autoimmune disorders. She works with patients intubated in the ICU through discharge from the hospital, working to prepare the patient and family for return home or maximizing strength to tolerate a rehabilitation facility. During her time working as an acute care therapist , Lindsey has been able to develop an expertise in improving patient overall functional mobility and patient/family education for safe return home. A major part of her practice setting also includes recommending and training on appropriate durable medical equipment to keep patients moving safely.
